WHY ISLANDPASSIONS ?

Islands are my passion since 1989 when I visited my first island: Guernsey on the Channel Islands.
I was very impressed about the very different way of life, the different smell, the different atmosphere, in one statement: all the differences. Then I visited more islands and every time I had the same impression!
An island-community lives a way of life that is very different from the way of life at the continent.
I think the life on the continent gives you more stress.
I became a lover of the sea, its sound, its colors, the appearance under different weather-conditions. I like to walk along the coast and to look over the sea.
Last but not least there is the interesting question how does an islandcommunity survive in this very busy and commercial time?
